Originally released in 2011, "Darkness vs. Light, the Perpetual Battle" presents over 45 minutes of old school Scandinavian black metal by way of Iran.

Influenced by Persian history and mythology, multi-instrumentalist Sina Winter founded From the Vastland in Iran in 2010, performing all instruments and vocals on the first two albums himself. Since relocating to Norway, Sina has assembled a live/session line-up featuring Andre “Tjalve” Kvebek (Den Saakaldte/ ex-1349), Thor “Destructhor” Anders Myhren (Myrkskog/ ex-Morbid Angel), and Vegar “Vyl” Larsen (Keep of Kalessin/Gorgoroth-live).
